Paches and partnership

Andrea (above) pondered her drawing, while Ben (below) dove right in.

Kim (below) looked away.

Ellen (below) contributed to what became a text-heavy banner.

Nora and Ana (below) explained how the paches were made and how they can be eaten.

Chris (below) listened.

Ana handed out plates of paches and bread.

Lucy, Cara, and Shaylee (below) split on whether to go with the paches or shift to macaroni and cheese.

Paches made Leyla (below) smile.

Ethan (below) considered his options.

This was the table (below) whose conversation Luke eventually reported on to the whole group.

This (below) was bread and paches, with its banana leaves covering and potato-based filling.

Pictured below was the alternative meal.

OK - I blew it. On a table in the Fellowship Hall Amy had laid out the dozen plus tea towels that Crescent Hill folks had decorated. Mission team members will give a couple of these each to their host families as a symbol of gratitude. I didn't get over to the table in time to examine or photograph the towels. Below is a sample that Amy got out for me.

Below is Amy, who spearheaded the tea towel effort, and Ken, who helped prepare the paches.

Below are cloth banners, one each for the churches and fellowships in the presbytery the team is visiting, that youth group folks constructed.

And further below is a single banner.
